'I think that's the beauty of this sport, with motor racing,' Sato said. 'If you're only talking in physical terms, (we) might not be able to do that. With the combination of experience, the team behind (us) and the race craft, all those things — I think age is sometimes something, but it is not everything.' .. This will be the 26th open-wheel race at PIR, after last year's IndyCar debut and CART (1984-2003) and Champ Car (2004-07) races. .. Twenty-three of the 33 starters in the 2019 Indy 500 were Indy Lights graduates, including 11 champions. .. Kanaan's record streak for most consecutive starts began at Portland in 2001. It was at 300 consecutive starts heading into the season; it's now at 315. .. The Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey concludes the IndyCar Series Sept. 22.
