I used to play Capitalism (1995) Capitalism 2 (2001) and Capitalism Plus (2005) back when they were new and I've reinstalled occasionally over the years. It's a fun business sim game (so should appeal to fans of sim city and other tycoon games), and it's also been used for educational purposes by some teachers and education institutions. Don't think that it is a shallow game.
The AI opened a chain of Footwear Stores in each city. Using its extensive retail outlets, the AI is able to market its sport shoes effectively, maintaining a strong.
It has more depth and features than say Roller Coaster Tycoon. It even has multiplayer.I recently went to find the game online to reinstall again and found that they have picked the game up again, just releasing Capitalism Labs in December 2012. It's a stand-alone expansion (you don't need the previous versions) and it is intended to be continuously developed and updated for free. The developers are awesome, since I've seen them implement suggestions (including my own) and release a patch with the changes in 24 hours. However, it has a very small following and apparently no marketing (I found it by luck myself), and that may affect how much development they can afford to do. Also, there's only a handful of people offering constructive suggestions (like about 3 people.), so the game could use more comprehensive ideas for fun gameplay additions.A bit about the game: You can see the new features contained in Capitalism Lab in the link provided. Another thing worth mentioning is that it's $20 USD, comes with 3 other games, and there's a money back guarantee for 48 hours:If you purchase the game and for whatever reason you want a refund, you may email us at within 48 hours of your purchase to request a refund. We will provide you with a full refund, no questions asked. There's also the $25 bundle that come with 7 additional games.
I wouldn't bother with the $30 dollar bundle which also includes Capitalism 2. I don't see why you'd play Capitalism 2 when Capitalism lab has all the same features and more. Xeodrifter all health locations. Well, unless you just want to pay more to support the developers. It's a stand-alone expansion, meaning there's no need to own Capitalism 2. I guess they could have called it Capitalism 3, but they're calling it 'Lab' which is supposed to imply that its development will be ongoing (free updates). It's pretty much the same old interface. What changes there are can be found under.I also made a suggestion the other day that they add the ability name or write a description to firms to help remind you what they're doing as you check up on your firms for problems.
They made the change and had an update available to download a day later.I also suggested having a shortlist that you could add firms to that you want to watch and come back to often (like new firms you build and are still setting up for the long term), but no word yet on whether they are considering implementing that. I found this on their website:The first Release version of Capitalism Lab is version 2.0, indicating that it is an expansion of Capitalism 2.
Users who have purchased version 2.0 or above will be able to upgrade to version 2.x for free, when they become available. On the other hand, version 3.0 will require new purchases. So looks like they may eventually release a version 3.0 someday, which would be a new product.
But considering they just released this version in December, and there previous versions have an average of 6 years between releases, I wouldn't expect a Capitalism 3 anytime soon.
